This exclusive tour of the Holy Land, hosted by (then) UNC Charlotte Chancellor Phil Dubois and his wife Lisa, is a once-in-a -lifetime adventure. It has an unprecedented itinerary and will be expertly guided at every step by Dr. James Tabor, of the Department of Religious Studies, and Dr. Shimon Gibson, of the Department of History. Tabor is a historian of early Christianity and Gibson is an expert in the archaeology and history of the region, and, particularly, the life and times of Lawrence of Arabia. Both have had decades of experience doing historical research and archaeology and guiding select groups. Whether you have been to Israel and Jordan before or have never had the opportunity, this tour will prove to be unforgettable. Participants will get a rare “behind the story” perspective on all the places that we visit. The itinerary includes Jerusalem, the Galilee, and the entire country of Jordan north to south. Accommodations are at five star hotels, carefully selected for their exceptional amenities.
